During September and October, Don lived and worked in China. This watercolor is of the gateway to the Hall of Heavenly Peace, Qin An Dian. A Taoist temple built in1460, the Hall stands in the very heart of the Forbidden City, itself the very heart of Beijing. Don made many friendships in Beijing that are destined to be lifelong.
